Nathan Barnes led devotions this morning.
Fathers have visions and dreams for their children. We desire for our children to be successful, love Yahweh, to do well at whatever they do. When I envision my children I see them in my mind in this way! Sure, my children have stumbled along the way, made some bad decisions, sinned. But thats not what I think about when I think about my kids.
I believe that our heavenly Father thinks of us in this same way!
“His delight is not in the strength of the horse, nor his pleasure in the legs of a man, but the LORD takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his steadfast love.” (Psalm 147:10–11, ESV)
Our Father delights in those that fear and hope in his steadfast love! Do we all want to please out earthly fathers? Of course! May we all have the same desire to please our heavenly father!
